Lou-Anthony P. Limon

Founder & Principal

Lou-Anthony P. Limon is a San Jose-based attorney recognized for his strategic litigation skills and client-centered approach to complex family law matters. Drawing from a background that includes service with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s Office and years of courtroom experience throughout California, Mr. Limon represents clients facing some of life’s most consequential legal disputes.

With extensive experience handling divorce, custody disputes, domestic violence matters, and complex financial litigation, Mr. Limon is known for thoughtful legal strategy, direct advocacy, and a commitment to achieving results efficiently without losing sight of the human realities behind every case. Patrick Coughlin serves as Of Counsel to Limon Law APC, bringing extensive courtroom experience and a steadfast commitment to protecting the rights of individuals facing criminal charges. Throughout his legal career, Mr. Coughlin has dedicated himself to advocating for those who need a strong voice within the criminal justice system, providing thoughtful counsel and strategic representation during some of life's most challenging circumstances.

Mr. Coughlin began his legal career representing incarcerated individuals with a small law firm focused on prisoners' rights. That experience reinforced his commitment to ensuring every client receives fair treatment, dedicated advocacy, and meaningful access to justice. He later served as a Deputy Public Defender in Humboldt County, where he managed a demanding caseload involving misdemeanor and felony criminal matters, as well as a variety of civil proceedings.

Over the course of his career, Mr. Coughlin has successfully represented clients in cases ranging from DUI and domestic violence allegations to serious felony charges, developing practical courtroom experience and the ability to navigate complex legal challenges with confidence. His disciplined approach, careful preparation, and commitment to protecting his clients' constitutional rights have earned the trust of those he represents.

Today, Mr. Coughlin continues to serve clients throughout the Bay Area, with a particular focus on criminal defense matters in Santa Clara County. He is committed to providing responsive communication, honest legal guidance, and vigorous advocacy tailored to each client's unique circumstances.

Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Coughlin enjoys spending time with family and friends and maintaining an active lifestyle through regular fitness training.
